Once again, the RSF Janjaweed militia has demonstrated its inherently criminal and terrorist character, confirming that its proxy campaign, on behalf of its regional sponsor, is directed against both the Sudanese people and their sovereign national state.
This is evident in the militia’s latest terrorist crime, which has shocked the human conscience; the cold blooded execution of more than 31 unarmed civilians yesterday, south of Omdurman, on camera, with boastful comments by executors. Even more appalling, a spokesperson for the militia—based in a European capital—has openly vowed to commit further similar crimes targeting specific Sudanese communities, and execute all detainees and hostages, most of whom are civilians.
This heinous crime, and its accompanying rhetoric by the militia, parading its utter disregard for human values, leaves no justification for procrastinating on designating it as a terrorist organization and its regional sponsor as a state sponsoring terrorism and a rogue regime that defies all international laws and norms. Consequently immediate and decisive measures must be taken to deter this militia and its regional sponsor’s fueling of strife and bloodshed in the wider region.
